Siblings on a

Mission

Michelle Hirsch

Michelle has been a devoted Phish fan for decades, and the band’s music and community have given her immeasurable joy. Now, she feels called to give back by supporting Trey Anastasio’s vision for the Divided Sky Foundation. In her career in healthcare, Michelle has witnessed countless people struggle with addiction without receiving the rehabilitative support they deserve. The Foundation’s mission to provide recovery through community, art, nature, and meaningful tools for reintegration deeply resonates with her.

This cause is also personal. Two and a half years ago, Michelle lost a dear friend to an overdose, an experience that left her wishing she could have done more. Supporting Divided Sky is her way of transforming grief into action and hope.

Michelle is especially proud to take on this coast-to-coast fundraising mission with her brother, Adam. Having seen Phish together for more than 30 years, this project gives them a chance to channel their shared love of the music into something bigger: helping others find healing and community through recovery.

Adam Hirsch

Introduced to Phish by his sister Michelle more than 30 years ago, Adam has been a devoted fan ever since. More recently, he has been actively involved in philanthropy, serving on the Children’s Health Board at Columbia University Medical Center, CLAL (the Center for Learning and Leadership), and as a trustee of two family foundations.

Like so many families, Adam’s has been deeply impacted by the addiction epidemic. Supporting the Divided Sky Foundation is a way to honor that experience while also giving back to Trey Anastasio, whose music has brought him immeasurable joy. Adam is especially drawn to organizations like Divided Sky where donations directly fuel visible, meaningful impact.

Adam believes it’s nearly impossible to find someone untouched by addiction. He feels fortunate to be able to rally support from both fellow Phish fans and those outside the community to help expand recovery efforts through Divided Sky. Doing this alongside Michelle makes the effort even more meaningful, as it blends their shared love of Phish and commitment to philanthropy into a mission of hope and healing.
