The Divided Sky Foundation provides an immersive educational experience that helps guests develop the skills needed to lead a successful, independent, and sober life. This includes workshops and programs focused on spirituality, mindfulness, and emotional sobriety, alongside daily nature walks, forest bathing, music discussions, volunteering, yoga, family activities, and more. Central to their program is a unique combination of Emotional Sobriety, mindfulness, and 12 Step principles, three essential elements that assist guests in creating a personal recovery plan that is both sustainable and meaningful. 

EMOTIONAL SOBRIETY

Emotional sobriety is a fundamental component of 12-step recovery programs and is deeply connected to physical sobriety—true success in one often depends on progress in the other. However, achieving emotional sobriety is a complex, ongoing process that requires intentional effort and often support from others.

At its core, emotional sobriety means gaining freedom from being ruled by your emotions. Regardless of whether you’re experiencing joy or sadness, you’re able to maintain stability and cope effectively with life as it is, on life’s terms.

THE 12 STEPS

A spiritual yet non-denominational program that encourages honesty, accountability, and personal growth. The center employs this proven approach to recovery by focusing on practical actions relevant to everyday life. They incorporate on-site and off-site meetings with local recovery community members and nurture involvement to maintain connections long after participants leave the program.
